All J-Bar Farms' foals are imprinted at birth. This makes them better donkey citizens in general and great companions. I strive to find loving permanent homes for the donkeys that leave here.
We have all the animals on a wholistic health care program. If you are interested in the J-Bar Farms' donkey health program, click here.
Here's a fantastic little very, very dark red jack for your consideration. This little guy is a show quality son of J-Bar
Farms' Mahina Iki and Sedona and is linebred on Red Baron with My World Buster, The Fireman, Winchester sorrel genetics in the mix. His
conformation is compact and straight, with a floating trot at two days old. More photos to follow soon, so check back! He is
available at weaning to add some dazzle to your sorrel breedings. Kahu means "guardian." Don't wait on this one! DOB 4/29/07
Born 5/13/07 (photo at one day old with Alex standing downhill). This jennet foal by Sedona out of Alex
made my "mother's day" special. A very compact and
correct little jennet, this little
sweetheart brings soft charm wherever she goes. Consider adding her to your breeding herd. Available when weaned or
in a package with mom Alex.
I'm so pleased to present another LN JBF Red Moon daughter to the world! Born 6/8/07 (photo at two days old), Lokenani
is indeed a beautiful rose in my herd. I took a chance last year and hauled Salome up to eastern Washington for breeding to
Red Moon on an overnight trip when her foal Maluhia was a month old. One breeding produced this graceful little girl.
She will be retained in the J-Bar Farms breeding herd and is due to foal in 2012 to Sedona.
Here's a great little red jack that I've decided to geld this fall. His fantastic sire, My World Vincent, stamps
his babies with that trademarked My World rear end, and Maluhia is no exception. Inquisitive, outgoing, and friendly
are disposition traits that I look for in a gelding. This boy meets those and adds straight, correct legs, attractive
head, and compact build to the mix. He's just a puppy, and follows me around the place whenever I'm out in his pasture
with the horses and other donkeys. He is available as a jack prospect until gelded. Maluhia means "peace."
"Ilihia" means stricken with awe or thrilled, as with beauty. I've been breeding little donkeys for 12 years, and I've never been so taken with a foal! This stunning 22" rose dun was born 5/26/05 out of Alex by My World Vincent.
(Ilihia) has such balance and strength throughout, it's difficult to pick just one great thing to say about her. This little girl has the best pelvic structure I've seen, great legs and strong clean joints.
Photo 5/28/05, just two days old. This little girl is a keeper for sure!
Look at this gorgeous dark rose dun! Kama Hele means "traveller." 21"
birth height.
"Makani" means wind. This lovely 23" (remember, she was a month overdue!) light rose dun jennet was born 6/13/05 out of Kamalani by My World Vincent. Makani is a soft-natured being, short-backed and leggy at this point.
Photo 6/13/05, just 10 hours old. This sweet girl is now for sale.
by RVB Cannon (HOF) out of Feather Ridge's Betsy, born May 3, 2004.
J-Bar Farms' Makali'i "Sold"
Makali'i (meaning "tiny") was just 19 inches at birth May 16, so he will mature between 29"-31". His National Champion daddy Cannon put his print on this little guy. Momma Mahina is the best jennet I've ever bred. What a combo! Sold to the Twenge family of Newberg Oregon. (Photo taken 6 weeks old)
Salome foaled our first
sorrel foal July 10! This beautiful boy was a stunning 22-1/4"
dark sorrel. He is extremely correct with excellent width between the hocks and a wide, short
back. He carries good bone and a sweet nature. Kanaka has a home with his friend Makali`i at the Twenge home
in Newberg Oregon.
J-Bar Farms' Naniloa is the long-awaited daughter of Alex by RVB Cannon (HOF).
Nani is a very dark brown bay with grand champion parents. Nani has been sold with her best friend Kikiholo and
will be living in Washington.
J-Bar Farms' Malu (no photo) is a 2002 dark brown bay gelding out of Veneta by RVB Cannon (HOF) Malu has been sold and is very happy in his new home keeping his pony friend company.

Light rose dun roan jennet foal J-Bar Farms' Pua Loke by J-Bar Farms' Blue Moon out of Animal Paradise
JBF Veneta born June 27 2001, 20.5 inches at birth. Pua has been sold.
Next is a special little guy with GCH parents.

Very dark brown BAY jack foal (J-Bar Farms' Cannon's Kahuna) by RVB Cannon (HOF) out of Animal Paradise JBF Alexandria, 20 inches at birth. He is full brother to J-Bar Farms' Blue Moon. Kahuna is now gelded and will stay here to help keep Sedona company.
