Cannon is my great 33.5 inch driving donkey, born in 1989. He was 1996 NMDA
National Grand Champion Green Performance Donkey and sire of the 1995
NMDA National First Place Miniature Foal J-Bar Farms' Luna.
Cannon also took Reserve Hi-Point Jack at the 1997 Pacific Crest all-miniature donkey show. Cannon's excellent disposition and quiet manner make him a joy to be around. He is a very dark brown bay and a color producer. Cannon is now retired from breeding, but he will always get top billing! Color genetics: BbAaCCdd(Ee)ggRnrn(oo)ttSS.
Cannon LOVES to pull! His favorite sport is snigging, or log pulling
as it's called down under.
He also really enjoys parades and giving cart rides to
kids.
Candi often donates the proceeds from cart rides to donkey welfare funds for care of rescued donkeys in the Northwest.

After a long search, the sorrel breeding program is coming back on track! Sedona is
a gorgeous dark sorrel, just 19 inches at birth on 10/22/03.
His bloodlines (My World, Sunset Acres, Red Baron) should click well with the sorrel lines I
have in my jennets (Red Baron, Winchester, Lazy N).
Sedona's sire, Merry-Go-Round's Firebug, is on the left. His dam's sire, My World Red Alert,
is shown on the right. Sedona's pedigree is now available at the link above!

Vinnie is a 32.5" sorrel Red Baron son. Shown here are his sons MW Red Hawk, MW Dodger, and MW Winston (above) as well as his daughters MW Sadie (left)and MW Whisper (right). Vincent is sire to Kama Hele, Ilihia, Makani, Maluhia, and Lokenani here at J-Bar Farms.
Blue is an exceptional 31 inch rose dun jack born in 1996. His conformation is compact and straight, with good width both fore and rear. Blue is one of the mellowest jacks I've ever known. He definitely has his sire's wonderful disposition, and passes it on to his progeny. I expect to continue to use Blue in the breeding program in future years.
Red Moon is the foundation of my sorrel dream. Though sold to Red Moon Farm (named after
Moonie, of course) in eastern Washington, I plan to breed the upcoming sorrel jennets with him
in the future. Moon is a striking red liver chestnut with excellent conformation and an
extended 107-ancestor pedigree. Genotype:
bbaaCC(dd)EeGgRnrnOOttSS with dun factor present.
